Ever since I heard of the great Ray Bradbury’s passing, I couldn’t stop thinking about what a huge impact he had on my imagination, especially as a young person.
I was submerged by waves of nostalgia, remembering how much I loved his books and short stories. I especially remember staring incessantly at the Illustrated Man book cover, imagining his tattoos writhing on the surface of his skin. Then, of course, I wondered what he would look like as a woman. In my mind, she would be very glamorous, and sensual, covered with strange and beautiful symbols instead of pictures, displaying a more feminine “mystique”. This is why I was practicing Zentangles, and here is the result in black and white (ink & pencil). I will be doing a colored version soon too!
