Variety, Diversity, You

For the time being, the work I’ve decided to upload and talk about on my blog is from my personal collection.

I feel this therapeutic need to publish designs that haven’t been diluted, over-tweaked and collectively worked on — not that this is always a bad thing, but it does sometimes make one feel stripped of oneself. I have a great fondness for this piece, originally used as the backdrop for an invitation to one of my birthday parties. Since the text became irrelevant (and contained too much personal information) I decided to recycle the composition and use it as an expression of my cultural background. Additionally, I find Mexican kitsch to be an irresistible playground with endless possibilities. A special mention goes to my partner, Pierre-Arnaud, for the ideas that inspired the text.
